GREEK METROPOLITAN UNDER INVESTIGATION FOR STATEMENT AGAINST COVID VACCINE

Recent statements from a hierarch of the Greek Church against receiving the COVID vaccine have drawn the attention of the Prosecutor’s Office.
An urgent preliminary examination was launched against His Eminence Metropolitan Seraphim of Kythira to investigate any ex-officio offenses. The examination was ordered by the Chief Prosecutor’s Office of Piraeus and assigned to a public prosecutor, reports Romfea.
At the Vespers service on Sunday, December 27, His Eminence spoke about how he was informed by Orthodox Christians from Italy that the new vaccines “are made and prepared with the product of abortions.”
“This is very terrible, my brothers,” he stressed.
While the vaccine can still be accepted for the sake of the health of the people according to the Catholic Church, “this is a big mistake,” Met. Seraphim said. “Of course [Pope Francis] is outside the Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church, and we cannot count on his opinion; we Orthodox cannot accept such a thing.”
“This product that comes from killed embryos will be injected into our bodies,” he said. “They want to create a ‘metahuman’, a mutated man, a man who will be like a robot.”
