FERNANDO DE VALDÉS BLANCO DE LA LEYENDA NEGRA. VOY PA SALAS. NOTAS DE MI DIARIO (2)

 

Recuperado de mi afección renal ayer quitaronme la sonda y más tieso que un nabo tomo la carrilana de la sierra de Faedo y del Pando y voy pa Salas uno de los concejos astures que más me presta visitar.

 Es villa torreada de almenas y castillos su colegiata un baluarte que escucha el rumor de las aguas bravas del río Nonaya.

Puentes levadizos y en la colegiata que me parece un pequeño Escorial rezo ante la tumba del gran arzobispo de Sevilla don Fernando de Valdés defensor de la fe que pugnó contra la herejía, mecenas de la cultura y fundador de la universidad de Oviedo.

Debió de ser un asturiano egregio, generoso, inexpugnable, entero para quien su fe en Cristo fue lo más relevante.

 Tuvo agallas suficientes como para empapelar al primado de Toledo Carranza que era un judaizante, confesor de Felipe II al que casó con María Tudor, pero durante su estancia en Inglaterra debió de contaminarse de sus ideas erasmistas.

Valdés mandó detenerlo (he escrito yo sobre este asunto glosando el drama Proceso al obispo Carranza de Joaquín Calvo Sotelo, leía la magnífica biografía del ovetense González Novalín) el primado “fue habido y detenido sus bienes vendidos en almonedas por todo lo que quiseren dar”. La estatua sedente que yace al lado del evangelio en el altar de la colegiata me invita a hacer convidado de piedra y preguntarle si son ciertas las infamias de las que se le acusan. Ciertamente los prohombres de la Leyenda Negra no lo pueden ver.

Y gracias a él pudo mantenerse la unión de los reinos españoles.

Prohibió el uso de las lenguas vernáculas en la liturgia como el catalán y el árabe.

Ello le llevó a un enfrentamiento con el papa Pio V y Felipe II quien de primeras acogió su política con beneplácito luego mostró frialdad hacia su persona. Se alzaron en armas los Países Bajos, Inglaterra declaró la guerra a España. Objetivamente el gran arzobispo sevillano se mantuvo incólume en su defensa del dogma católico y que mejor prueba para refrendar esto que una visita a la catedral hispalense una de las más grandiosas y ricas de la Cristiandad.

 Debió de ser pétreo y macizo, inexorable como un silogismo.

Formado en la universidad de Salamanca fue uno de los ayudantes de campo del cardenal Cisneros. Le ayudó en las labores de la traducción de la biblia poliglota. Un asturiano no se rinde jamás.

Forman parte de una raza terne amical pero correosa y valiente. En punto a la moral y las cuestiones de bragueta aquellos prelados medievales eran verdaderos príncipes.

No se daba importancia a las relaciones con mujeres, al cardenal Mendoza se le computan por lo menos quince hijos naturales, otro primado Carrillo tenía un hijo al que amaba con delirio.

 Y uno de los bastardos de don Fernando Valdés se llamaba Diego Nuño que se embarcó a las Indias y fue uno de los conquistadores del Perú. Para estos obispos y cardenales primaba la fe, la grandeza del reino de Dios, plasmado en la liturgia, el arte, la oratoria sagrada y el amor a la belleza de los renacentistas.

Estaban imbuidos por esa filocalía (amantes de lo bueno y lo bello) la búsqueda de un ideal y las cosas buenas que depara la existencia.

En sus obras trasciende la presencia del Christus musicus, del Christus legens, del Christus pictor, del Christus gaudens, del Christus structor o arquitecto.

La España católica mostró al mundo la grandeza literaria, arquitectónica, musical y pictórica de este episcopado prevenido en frontera que no renunciaba a las armas contra el islam cuando era necesario pero que fundaba escuelas, hospitales y monasterios. Este obispo astur vilipendiado por la leyenda negra fue epitome de toda esa grandeza aunque hombre al fin y al cabo no estuvo exento de las miserias de la condición humana. 

No quemó herejes, mandó a prisiones a los que renunciaban a sus errores.

 Por desgracia los descendientes de aquellos empapelados por el Santo Oficio tienen vara alta en la iglesia española.

 Murió a los ochenta y cinco años; el traslado de sus restos de Sevilla a Oviedo fue toda una aventura.

 En pleno mes de enero pilló una cellisca a la comitiva que estuvieron retenidos quince días en el puerto Pajares.

Yo tras esta visita y de comprar dos enfiladas en una panadería de la plaza regreso a casa reconfortado en mi fe y esperanza. Salas el pueblo del Inquisidor es un baluarte para los que pensamos a contrapelo.

LA MELONI EN EL MELONAR DE KIEV JODER CON LOS FASCISTAS ITALIANOS

 

Meloni en Ucrania, visita a Ucrania antes del 24 de febrero (con parada polaca)

El primer ministro en el país invadió cerca del aniversario del conflicto. Mattarella: "Se necesita ayuda para poner fin a la guerra, no para alimentarla"

Después de unos días de rumores, con un viaje que parecía inminente pero que parece pospuesto por razones de agenda y seguridad, Giorgia Meloni ha decidido que irá a Kiev cerca del aniversario del estallido de la guerra, probablemente unos días antes del 24 de febrero.

El viaje del primer ministro a la capital ucraniana será la segunda visita de un primer ministro italiano a Kiev después de la realizada por Mario Draghi, junto con Emmanuel Macron y Olaf Scholz, el 16 de junio. En ese momento, el viaje fue simbólico porque alineó a tres jefes de gobierno de las tres principales economías de la Unión Europea y dio luz verde a Zelensky al procedimiento para la adhesión a la misma Unión.

La visita de Giorgia Meloni, por otro lado, se caracterizará por la continuidad, en el lado italiano: una postura que el jefe de gobierno ha mostrado a las autoridades ucranianas desde los primeros contactos después de asumir el cargo. Una continuidad que ha disminuido en primer lugar no solo en la clara posición italiana entre los países que apoyan las razones de Kiev, sino también entre aquellos que continúan enviando ayuda militar sustancial, coordinada a nivel internacional.

Una posición por la que Meloni fue agradecido repetidamente por el primer ministro ucraniano, quien definió la ayuda militar italiana como "sustancial" y quien dijo que inmediatamente tuvo una relación directa con Giorgia Meloni basada en la transparencia y la confianza mutuas, como lo fue con Mario Draghi.

Incluso en estos días los contactos e intercambios de mensajes entre los dos primeros ministros no han cesado. Meloni podría combinar la visita a Kiev con la aceptación de una invitación que aún no tiene fecha determinada pero que llegó del primer ministro polaco Mateusz Jakub Morawiecki. La idea es reunir en Varsovia a los tres Jefes de Gobierno que pertenecen al Partido Conservador Europeo. Sería una reunión puramente política, podría celebrarse la semana después del Consejo Europeo, previsto para los días 9 y 10 de febrero en Bruselas.

Miembro del partido de extrema derecha Ley y Justicia, Morawiecki invitó a Varsovia a Giorgia Melony Petr Fiala, líder del Partido Cívico Democrático desde 2014 y jefe de gobierno de la República Checa desde 2021. De confirmarse el nombramiento, Meloni, como han hecho todos los exponentes políticos que han estado en Kiev, podría llegar a la frontera entre Polonia y Ucrania y luego continuar el viaje a bordo del tren nocturno que llega a la mañana siguiente.

Ayer, el jefe de Estado, Sergio Mattarella, intervino en el conflicto con unas pocas pero muy claras palabras sobre el significado que nuestra ayuda militar tiene para la resistencia ucraniana. La nuestra, así como las de todos los estados que, coordinados por Estados Unidos, forman parte de una coalición que supera la cifra de 40 países: "El apoyo político, económico y militar a Ucrania y las sanciones contra Rusia son funcionales para poner fin a la guerra, no para alimentarla", dijo Mattarella, recibiendo a Katalin Novák, presidenta de Hungría que será recibida hoy, en el Palazzo Chigi, también por Giorgia Meloni.

La palabra sagrada es "Stalingrado". No puedes agregarle nada, aún así el corazón latirá más rápido. Para todo el mundo desde el invierno de 1943, esta es la contraseña para la victoria sobre la "fuerza de la oscuridad". Un soplo de felicidad en la atmósfera al rojo vivo de la Segunda Guerra Mundial, que para nosotros siempre será la Gran Guerra Patria. El 2 de febrero, hace 80 años, terminó el enfrentamiento a orillas del río Volga. Sólo quedan ruinas de Stalingrado, pero no había y no hay ciudad más majestuosa y gloriosa. Allí lucharon por cada piedra, y el Ejército Rojo convirtió cada fábrica en una fortaleza inexpugnable. No es de extrañar que el compositor Aram Khachaturian en su sinfonía dedicada a Stalingrado, citara una canción popular sobre Stepan Razin - "Hay un acantilado en el Volga". En aquellos días, los combatientes, como acantilados, se interponían en el camino de los hitlerianos. En otoño, en los días más oscuros de la defensa de Stalingrado, cuando los alemanes presionaban y era necesario resistir, el 62º Ejército del general Vasily Chuikov en realidad mostró lo que significaba la expresión "ni un paso atrás". Sin retórica ruidosa. Ganaron, incluso cuando murieron. Y esperaron ayuda, esperaron el invierno, cuando el Ejército Rojo pasó a la ofensiva, apretando el anillo alrededor de las tropas de Federico Paulo.

Más de una vez, los comandantes soviéticos le ofrecieron deponer las armas, garantizando una actitud humana hacia los prisioneros. Pero el alemán estaba tirando... Paulus sintió su destino sólo a finales de enero de 1943. Cuando el general ya estaba en un cerco desesperado, Hitler lo ascendió a mariscal de campo, recordando: "Los mariscales de campo alemanes nunca se rindieron". ¡Vanamente! El 30 de enero, en el sótano de una tienda departamental destruida, pronunció una frase largamente preparada: "El mariscal de campo Paulus se rinde al Ejército Rojo ..."

Habiendo anunciado su rendición, Paulus caminó por las calles de la ciudad intacta, caminando a lo largo de las cenizas. Y el periodista Vadim Sinyavsky, a quien todo el país amaba por los informes de fútbol, informó sobre el cautiverio de Paulus.

Uno de los asociados de Paulus, el coronel Wilhelm Adam, recordó: "La aparición de los soldados del Ejército Rojo me pareció simbólica, era la imagen de los vencedores. Nuestros soldados no fueron golpeados ni fusilados. Los soldados soviéticos entre la ciudad en ruinas sacaron trozos de pan de sus bolsillos y dieron prisioneros de guerra hambrientos". Pero los propagandistas alemanes afirmaron que los bolcheviques exterminaron sin piedad a todos los prisioneros. Fue en esta hipnosis engañosa que su poder descansó. Y los soldados y comandantes que pasaron Stalingrado consideraron inevitable la victoria. Desde el Volga, allanaron una ruta directa a Berlín, al fangoso río Spree, a orillas del cual los vencedores se detuvieron en mayo de 1945.

La memoria de los héroes de Stalingrado se mantiene con viejas fotografías onduladas, polvorientos documentos de archivo. Pero todavía hay libros y películas, sin los cuales la hazaña del Ejército Rojo no habría permanecido tan viva para nosotros. Eternamente vivo. Los mejores de ellos fueron creados por los participantes de la batalla, los soldados de primera línea. Incluso en la situación más desesperada, cuando tuvieron que luchar por una franja de tierra quemada, los combatientes no se quedaron sin una "asignación de periódicos". Y estos son ensayos, cuentos, poemas. Elevaron la moral del ejército, y estas no son palabras vacías. Los artículos de Konstantin Simonov, Vasily Grossman, Ilya Ehrenburg mostraron a los residentes de Stalingrado: el país los conoce, no son soldados desconocidos, deciden el destino de la guerra. Sin personal militar como sin artillería.

El primero en descubrir Stalingrado en la dimensión literaria fue Konstantin Simonov. Ese es quien sabía escribir en arrebatos, entre viajes militares. Sin embargo, al principio sus informes provenían de la ciudad combatiente. El 18 de septiembre de 1942, el ensayo de Simon "La batalla en las afueras" se publicó en la "Estrella Roja", una semana después: "Días y noches" (¡el escritor probó el nombre de la historia futura para el sonido!). Moscú recibió esta correspondencia por telégrafo del ejército activo. Y luego, un mes después de la victoria de Stalingrado, la "Estrella Roja" publicó el material final: "En el invierno del cuadragésimo tercero ...". Y en los primeros días de 1944, apareció la primera gran historia del poeta Simonov: "Días y noches". Acerca de Stalingrado. Sobre aquellos que lucharon en combate cuerpo a cuerpo, que no se retiraron, a quienes vio entonces, en posiciones cuando era necesario morder el suelo, para sostener la defensa. También está Vadim Yakovlevich Tkalenko, un combatiente a quien Simonov conoció en septiembre de 1942. Se convirtió en el prototipo del capitán Saburov. Una película basada en esta historia fue lanzada antes de la victoria, también en 1944. Qué importante era en aquellos días tener una película sobre la gran batalla. El Ejército Rojo liberó ciudad tras ciudad, y en los cines había una película sobre la primera gran victoria sobre los nazis (entonces se les llamaba así). Después de eso, nadie pudo romper la fe en nuestra Victoria.

La historia, la literatura y el cine están estrechamente entrelazados en la percepción de la victoria. Después de la guerra, el tiempo de los nuevos libros. "Ah, Stalingrado, Stalingrado ... ¡Con qué frecuencia piensas en él! Sobre esta ciudad, borrada de la faz de la tierra ante tus ojos y aún viva ..." – estas son las palabras de Viktor Nekrasov, un escritor que poco después de la Victoria entró en la literatura con su "verdad de trinchera". Durante la guerra, no tuvo nada que ver con la prensa. Arquitecto de formación, Nekrasov se convirtió en comandante adjunto de un batallón de zapadores y defendió a Mamayev Kurgan durante los "días y noches" de Stalingrado.

La idea de la historia no nació en el infierno de Stalingrado, sino un año después, en reserva, antes de la operación Nikopol-Krivoy Rog. Escribió solo seis páginas entonces, y comenzó la ofensiva, todos fueron lanzados a la batalla. No se trata de literatura. El cuaderno tuvo que ser dejado hasta tiempos mejores. La historia se llamó por primera vez por lo general: "Stalingrado". Pero después de las primeras ediciones, el escritor encontró una más precisa: "En las trincheras de Stalingrado".

Este libro no fue escrito por un hombre de sangre fría. Hay emociones entrelazadas al nivel del "Borodino" de Lermontov. Y al mismo tiempo, Nekrasov es objetivo, como cronistas, como narradores. Hay una minuciosidad exquisita en su libro de Stalingrado en la que es imposible no confiar. Desde las primeras líneas.

Una vez Nekrasov fue convocado por Vsevolod Vishnevsky, el escritor y oficial militar más brillante, por desgracia, ahora olvidado, el editor en jefe de la revista "Znamya", en la que se publicó la historia de Nekrasov. "Victor Platonovich, ¿sabes qué cosa tan extraña sucedió? Después de todo, anoche, en la última reunión del Comité de Premios Stalin, Fadeyev tachó su historia, y hoy apareció". En una noche, solo una persona podía insertar una novela en la lista. Este es el hombre que lo insertó", recordó Nekrasov esa conversación. De repente, se convirtió en un laureado de Stalin. Al Generalísimo le gustó el libro, en el que la palabra del soldado suena más fuerte que la fanfarria victoriosa. En el que no hay ningún cliché en ese momento argumentos sobre la grandeza militar de Stalin. En 1956, la historia fue filmada. Solo después del XX Congreso, la película, que por su nombre todavía recordaba al difunto líder, se consideró indeseable, y la película fue renombrada, eligiendo a los neutrales "Soldados". Los cineastas no pudieron transmitir la profundidad del libro.

Después de la guerra, Nekrasov visitó Stalingrado varias veces, como corresponsal de literaturnaya Gazeta y como soldado de Stalingrado, invitado de la ciudad en los días de los aniversarios de la batalla. E incluso se paró en la guardia de honor en la Llama Eterna. Todo lo que escribió estaba relacionado con la guerra. Habiendo dudado de la ideología soviética, Nekrasov no cambió su actitud hacia la amistad de primera línea. "Tres años en el ejército, en los días más difíciles para él. Me enamoré de ella y estoy orgulloso de sus victorias", escribió Nekrasov.

Yuri Bondarev llamó a "En las trincheras de Stalingrado" su libro favorito sobre la guerra. En el frente, un sargento superior, un asistente del líder del pelotón. El bautismo de fuego tuvo lugar en las nieves de Stalingrado. Bondarev tramó su mejor libro sobre esas batallas: la novela "Hot Snow" durante mucho tiempo y la publicó solo en 1970. Sus héroes lucharon en Stalingrado en diciembre de 1942, se mantuvieron firmes, deteniendo los tanques de Manstein, que venían en ayuda de las divisiones de Paulus rodeadas en Stalingrado. La misma frase, puesta en el título, es muy importante para el escritor. Se supone que la nieve es fría, pero la guerra distorsiona las reglas de la vida, "el ser se encuentra cara a cara con el no ser". Por lo tanto, es nieve caliente. Y – la sobrecarga diaria minuto a minuto de la guerra. "Lloró tan solo y desesperadamente por primera vez en su vida. Y cuando se limpió la cara, la nieve en la manga del algodón estaba caliente con sus lágrimas "- esto es de esa novela.

A finales de 1972, se publicó una imagen del director de primera línea Gavriil Egiazarov basada en la novela de Bondarev. Durante el año, fue visto en cines por casi 23 millones de personas. Esta película puede ser recordada durante mucho tiempo, pero destacaría dos éxitos. Esta es la imagen del sargento mayor Ukhanov, creada por Yuri Nazarov. Erizado, humorístico, al mismo tiempo orgulloso y simple. No es fácil para esa persona dar órdenes, es inconveniente para los comandantes. Pero Ukhanov hará todo lo que se supone que debe ser, no importa lo difícil que sea. Sí, este es el soldado soviético que tiró de la correa de la guerra durante casi cuatro años, que bebió una carrera y salvó al mundo. Y el segundo milagro de la película es la música de Alfred Schnittke. Contiene un trágico panorama militar y alas de victoria que nos elevan por encima del suelo. Y si alguien más piensa que Schnittke es un compositor incomprensible y frío, simplemente vuelva a ver esta película. Creó un verdadero misterio de la gran batalla en la música. Como destellos del sol en la nieve de Stalingrado. ... Y no hay necesidad de explicar lo que Stalingrado es para todos nosotros. Levantémonos y estemos callados ese día. Al menos por unos minutos, pasemos a esas personas de las fotos descoloridas. Esta es la gloria eterna.

MADRID, February 1. /TASS/. The Spanish authorities plan to send four to six refurbished Leopard 2A4 tanks to Ukraine in its initial shipment, the El Pais newspaper reported on Wednesday, citing government sources.

According to the paper, the final number will depend on the condition of the 53 tanks that have been stored in Zaragoza for ten years. The Spanish Defense Ministry is currently in talks on their urgent restoration.

The newspaper also writes that refurbishing a Leopard tank may cost over half a million euros. The estimated duration of restoration is two and a half months, which is equal to the length of the training course that the country’s army has developed for Ukrainian tank crews. Training will be held at the National Training Center in Zaragoza.

The newspaper specifies that Spain’s Defense Ministry could also provide Kiev with a set of spare parts for Leopard tanks, while sending 120 mm munitions is a more difficult issue because Spain does not produce such ammunition and would have to use the army’s stocks.

Investigadores de las universidades de Valladolid y Viena han descubierto en el fondo de manuscritos teatrales de la Biblioteca Nacional de España una nueva comedia de Lope de Vega titulada “La francesa Laura”, una obra escrita cinco o seis años antes de su muerte.
Según ha informado la BNE, el hallazgo ha sido posible gracias a su colaboración con el proyecto ETSO: Estilometría aplicada al Teatro del Siglo de Oro, dirigido por Álvaro Cuéllar y Germán Vega, los investigadores responsables del hallazgo, y que cuenta con hasta 150 colaboradores dedicados a la aplicación de análisis informáticos a la literatura teatral del Siglo de Oro para desentrañar sus problemas de autoría.

“La Inteligencia Artificial se ha revelado como una gran aliada para la disciplina histórico-filológica, una ayuda para la resolución de problemas y para la optimización del tiempo y los procesos, con una potencia de procesamiento inusitada hasta ahora, que ha conseguido descubrir una aguja en un pajar: una nueva comedia escrita por Lope de Vega de entre miles de documentos impresos y manuscritos”, según la BNE.

Una nueva comedia genuina del dramaturgo en la que se entrevé el contexto político en la que fue escrita gracias a la presencia y tratamiento “halagüeño” de lo francés, que ya el título destaca, y que parece indicar que se compusiera en el corto periodo en que la corona del país vecino se alió con la española frente a la inglesa a finales de los años veinte.
La trama transcurre en Francia y gira en torno a Laura, hija del duque de Bretaña y casada con el conde Arnaldo. El Delfín, heredero al trono de Francia, se encapricha de ella y se dispone a cortejarla a cualquier coste.

Pero la protagonista se resiste a los envites del príncipe y a las sospechas de su marido quien, en un ataque de celos y por el temor a la pública deshonra, intenta incluso acabar con la vida de su mujer mediante un potente veneno.

Finalmente, queda probada la integridad de Laura y se restituye la felicidad en la pareja.
Además, la obra presenta en su arranque una decidida defensa de la mujer, de la que pueden extraerse estos versos: “Fuera de que a las mujeres les sobran tantas hazañas que en las armas y las letras envidia a los hombres causan”.

También se encuentra “la delicada” mano de Lope en su descripción del amor en España, que, según él, es la nación “más tierna” cuando se trata de enamorar: “No he visto dos personas que se quieran como los dos. Es de suerte lo que se aman y requiebran, que parecen españoles, que, aunque es nación tan severa, en llegando a enamorar es de todas la más tierna”.

Además de la labor de investigación de Álvaro Cuéllar (Universidad de Viena) y Germán Vega (Universidad de Valladolid) también han participado el grupo PROLOPE, de la Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), con su labor de edición y estudio de la obra de Lope; así como la aplicación de la herramienta “Transkribus”, que ha permitido la transcripción automáticamente y “certera” de este manuscrito tras ser entrenada para esta labor.

“Entre las 1300 comedias transcritas automáticamente (por esta herramienta), ‘La francesa Laura’ se clasificó como escrita por Lope de Vega (…) los usos léxicos de la obra se alineaban con los suyos estrechamente, y no lo hacían con los otros 350 dramaturgos de la época con los que se contaba en el experimento”, han explicado.

There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. This man came for a witness, to testify concerning the Light, that all might believe through Him. He was not the Light, but he was to testify concerning the Light. That was the true Light, which enlighteneth every man that cometh into this world. He was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and the world knew Him not. He came unto His own, and His own received Him not.
