Russia's surprise decisions cause panic in Ukraine and the West

The Kremlin has taken two strong steps in a war of nerves that has caused quite a stir in the NATO-Ukraine alliance. These decisions are:

  • to hold referenda on the liberated territories of Ukraine to make them part of Russia
  • to conduct partial call-up.

Ukraine's economy is collapsing

The Kyiv regime does not resort to any measures, not even to fake news to return the hryvnia to the level of up to 40-41 per dollar. The Ukrainians withdraw their funds from bank deposits and rush to stock up food supplies before it is too late.

"The NBU (National Bank of Ukraine) is on the brink of panic. They called the president's office and warned that they wouldn't be able to keep the exchange rate afloat for a long time as this costs them too much," Resident Telegram channel said.

Zelensky's office is at a loss as well: the budget needs the currency, but it must be paid from deposits, otherwise the banking system will collapse. The further decline of the Ukrainian currency, the hryvnia, will only boost hyperinflation. This, in turn, will further increase the demand for the currency.

Ukrainian business is panicking as well. Enterprises, investors, even in the west of the country, started withdrawing assets abroad. The shares of Ukrainian companies have been downgraded to the level of "garbage".

The growth of tariffs and protest moods is another crisis. The referenda in Donetks, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporozhye (Zaporizhzhia) regions have stated on September 23. People vote for their regions to join the Russian Federation in a hope for the long-awaited peaceful life.

Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Russia would not use tactical nuclear weapons, as Vladimir Putin had warned. It is very reminiscent of the eve of the start of the special operation, when the President of Ukraine assured that "Russia will not attack." As Zelensky later explained, he did not want to cause panic among the population. Now there is a similar situation.

The recent exchange of prisoners was also intended to boost the morale. This victory has quickly faded away, though. The Ukrainian "heroes" looked rested when they returned from Russian captivity, which could not be said about the rest of the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"I wonder how the Azov* commanders feel in Turkey as their subordinates continue to rot in captivity? This is the most vivid demonstration of what is happening in our department. Those rats that voluntarily surrendered were supposed to sit in pits until they would be exchanged for their last soldier,” a "hero” of the 35th brigade wrote.

The morale of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has fallen sharply, and this is not the last factor in the bogged down offensive on Krasny Lyman. Ukraine's losses in this direction have already exceeded the losses for the entire time of the Balakley-Izium offensive.

Ukraine already considers calling up more people, even women, to gain advantage in manpower. This sows panic in the population as well provided that the conscription of local residents on the liberated territories to the Russian Armed Forces is prohibited.

Kyiv's masters are panicking as well.

Kyiv and its masters need to decide what they can do next after the liberated territories launch the process of joining Russia. If they continue striking them, they will have a large-scale real hot war with Russia served to them on a platter. They may also decide to step back and consider lifting sanctions instead.

In late autumn, when this issue gets serious, Europe will find itself as vulnerable as possible due to the energy and gas crisis, as well as political, social crises, and the upcoming food crisis of 2023.

"Everyone must put maximum pressure on Putin to stop the war," said Emmanuel Macron.

This is a panicky statement, given that Putin refused to talk to him over the phone.

There is no unity inside the European Union. Large energy-dependent, small and medium-sized businesses suffer losses and close down there. The economy has gone into recession, the euro is falling to the bottom. In Europe, they begin to realize that the United States has abandoned and destroyed Europeans to maintain dollar dominance.

The Democratic administration in Washington is incompetent and could lose its majority in both houses of Congress in a couple of months. Only God knows what will happen next.

HAMPEY DUMPEY HAD A GREAT FALL ALL GTHE KINGSMEN CAN NOT PUT HUMPY TOGETHER AGAIN

And all NATO's tanks and all NATO's men can't put Ukraine together again

A military expert shares his opinion with Pravda. Ru about recent supplies of Western arms to the West.

German arms for Ukraine

The German government intends to supply the following arms systems to Kyiv:

  • 30 Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft guns,
  • IRIS-T air defense system,
  • three Mars MLRS,
  • 22 trucks,
  • 80 pickups.

The story of German SPAAGs equipped with 35 mm Oerlikon GDF automatic cannons chambered for a 35x228 mm unitary projectile is curious for a number of reasons.

Firstly, Germany was going to supply them as early as in April of this year although to no avail, because ammunition for this weapon is made in Switzerland.

The condition of Gerard systems is also a question. The fact is that all 50 Gepard units to be sent to the east still need to be reactivated. All of them have been kept in long-term storage, as there was no sales market for them. In fact, the Germans have been trying to sell their arms to third countries for three decades in a row, but no one expressed interest. The brainchild of the German defense industry could only be kept in warehouses.

It appears that Germany seems to be resisting the escalation of the conflict as much as possible. In particular, Berlin forbade Spain from supplying Leopard 2A4 tanks. Anti-aircraft Gepards are not suitable for offensive operations.

What does Poland supply to Ukraine?

Warsaw behaves differently.

PT-91 Twardy

Allegedly, about 230 Polish PT-91 Twardy tanks have already arrived in Ukraine. Since the beginning of the special operation, Kyiv has recieved at least 200 units of former Soviet armored vehicles left by the countries of the so-called "Visegrad Four". Meanwhile, as of the end of July, Ukraine has lost more than 4,140 tanks and other types of armoured vehicles. In the beginning of the special operation, it was announced that Ukraine had 3,200 armoured vehicles.

The Polish tank is a profound modernization of the licensed version of the Soviet T-72 Ural tank. The combat vehicle modified by the Poles has:

  • a new fire control system (Polish-made fire monitoring system 4M Drava),
  • anti-laser system for setting up an aerosol curtain of the Russian Shtora class.
  • active one- or two-layer armor,
  • NATO radio communication system.

Military experts believe that this tank could be good on the battlefield some time back in the late 1980s — about 40 years ago that is.

However, all these innovations, invented by the Polish Center for Research and Design of Mechanisms and the Military Institute of Armament and Technology, do not put the PT-91 Twardy tank even close to a T-90, let alone the Armata tank. Similarly to the American Abrams, Twardy is made of heavy steel, therefore it is incapable of maneuvering quickly. Polish military specialists do not even compare this tank to Russia's T-72B3M, which is slightly older.

Years ago, they started developing a new combat vehicle called Gorilla. Such a poetic name. As Polish engineers assumed, the new creation would have everything that the Twardy tank lacked: protection against electromagnetic radiation, ceramic tiles, etc.

The project sounds great, but the Gorilla has never been put in production. Warsaw lacks both funds and technical capabilities to create its own armored miracle, let alone the fact that Washington is not interested in it at all.

Curiously, in addition to outdated Twardy tanks, Warsaw 247 modern German Leopard 2 tanks. However, Poland does not run to supply them to Ukraine.

France is more generous

The French are ready to supply six more CAESAR self-propelled guns to Ukraine — a self-propelled analogue of the towed gun TRF1. The President of France promised to supply those systems during his memorable visit to Kyiv.

The range of the 155 mm howitzer is 42 kilometers. Fire control is carried out automatically with the use of SIGMA 30 sighting group and the French NAVSTAR satellite system. Deployment takes four minutes. The system transforms into the travel position in about two minutes. The gun has an ammunition load of 18 active-rocket projectiles with automatic feeding to the loading tray. The use of a piston instead of the wedge gate simplifies the operation of the howitzer.

This is a indeed a formidable weapon that the French supply to:

  • India,
  • Indonesia,
  • Lebanon,
  • Qatar,
  • Denmark,
  • Malaysia,
  • Czech Republic,
  • Saudi Arabia,
  • and Vietnam.

The French have no more than 76 pieces of this expensive guns. Twelve CAESAR is the maximum that Paris can supply to Kyiv. Six of them have been supplied, and six others still remain a promise. The market price for one such gun is at least seven million.

Why do the French supply their priceless CAESAR systems to Ukraine at all? Do they want to harm Russia? The only explanation is as practical as it can be. The French want to test their systems in real combat action and see how they work. Ukraine is the best choice for this.

The new NATO military doctrine adopted at the Madrid Conference appears to be stillborn. NATO allies do not seem to be able to agree among themselves. They have a long way to go before they can say for sure that NATO will contain both Russia and China.

See for yourself. Annalena Baerbock, the head of the German Foreign Ministry, warned that if Canada does not return the turbine to Gazprom, Berlin will cut military assistance to Kyiv completely, Globe and Mail said.

Hungarian President Viktor Orban went even further. On the air of Kossuth Radio, he said that regarding the conflict in Ukraine, NATO's military strategy was not working at all. Such a statement made during the fifth month into the special operation sounds like a final verdict.

There is an ancient truth in geopolitics: those who lose the initiative never retain their original position.

NATO and the United States will not be able to return to the pre-war status quo. The bloc is facing disintegration and chaos. Russia will be the main beneficiary of the process.

Even if we apply the simple rule of mirror symmetry, it will take at least a quarter of a century for the West to rise from the ashes.

RUSIA MANTIOENE LA SUPERIORIDAD DE LOS CIELOS Y NO ATACA A KIEV PORQUE SU POLITICA ES ESTRANGULARLA POCO A POCO

Russia's Kinzhal hypersonic missile takes complete advantage of both Ukraine and NATO

According to Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoygu, Russia used the Kinzhal hypersonic missile during the special military operation in Ukraine three times. In all of those incidents, the Kinzhal missile has shown excellent performance. This is a second-to-none missile that no other country in the world has, Shoygu said.

For the first time, Kinzhal struck a large underground warehouse of missiles and aviation ammo of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the village of Delyatyn in the Ivano-Frankivsk region. The attack took place on March 18 and came as a shock for the NATO command in the first place, the Rossiiskaya Gazeta newspaper said.

The Kinzhal missile then struck not just a warehouse, but one of the central storage bases for nuclear weapons, known as Object 711, or Ivano-Frankivsk-16. This object was built in 1955. The level of its protection was enough to withstand a nuclear bomb impact.

The facility was used to maintain nuclear warheads of strategic and tactical missiles of the Armed Forces of the USSR. In the early 1990s, the nuclear weapons stored at the facility were taken to Russia. The Ukrainian Defence Ministry Ministry then ordered to relocate most of the stocks of aviation and missile ammo from Western Ukraine to warehouses of Object 711.

It was reported that Object 711 was a whole military camp that had been built 150 meters under the ground and had two surface floors. It was considered to be one of the safest arsenals, until it was destroyed by the Kinzhal missile.

Russia's Kinzhal missiles are designed to destroy well-defended command posts, underground arsenals and even aircraft carriers. Missiles of this hypersonic complex are normally used for Iskander missile systems, but Kinzhal had them modernised for airborne use. Kinzhal missiles are currently launched from heavy MiG-31K fighter interceptor aircraft. In the future, they will be made part of the ammo of the strategic Tu-160M2, the Rossiiskaya Gazeta said.

The Kinzhal hypersonic missile is marked as Kh-47M2. Its technical characteristics are kept secret. It was only reported that the rocket is capable of flying at a speed that is 10-12 times the speed of sound.

The missile has perhaps the best homing system in the world. The system is entirely made from domestic components.

The video of the March 18 attack shows that the missile entered the ground almost vertically. Its speed was several kilometers per second, and the total mass was about 1,5 tons. With such a huge kinetic energy, the Kinzhal literally went deep under the ground for tens of meters, broke through the concrete floor of the arsenal and exploded inside. The energy of the explosion caused the ammo at the facility to explode as well. Object 711 was completely destroyed, but it was destroyed by a highly explosive conventional, rather than nuclear warhead.

The warehouse that the Kinzhal missile struck is located only 80 kilometers from the Romanian border. In 2016, Romania deployed the Aegis Ashore stationary missile defense system with US RIM-161 Standard Missile 3 (SM-3) missile interceptors. Since 2015, as many as three batteries, with eight SM-3 Block IB missiles in each of them, have been deployed at the Deveselu army base in Romania. According to the Americans, they are designed to intercept intercontinental ballistic missiles and warheads at atmospheric altitudes.

The Kinzhal missile strike showed it clearly that the NATO Aegis Ashore missile defense system, in case of military necessity, will be destroyed even before it could be alerted, the Rossiiskaya Gazeta concluded.
