A heartbroken dad has paid tribute to his "lovely, caring and humble" daughter who died after a night drinking with friends.

Sarah Howson, 34, tragically died during a weekend away with four friends at Westfield Country Park in Fitling, near Burton Pidsea, on October 13, 2019.

At an inquest into her death, Hull Coroner's Court heard how the friends spent the mini-break drinking and that she tragically died in her sleep after drinking an "excessive amount" of alchol.

The sad death of Ms Howson is something that her father Nick Howson says he will never be able to move on from, and he says identifying her in the mortuary "destroyed" him.

"Sarah was a lovely girl and a beautiful soul. She was very caring, humble, kind and spiritual and there was not a bad bone in her body," said Mr Howson.

"She was a social worker for the elderly and even helped them in her own spare time and loved animals and people.

"She did voluntary work with refugees, taught them English, and also volunteered at Dove House.

"Her life was just starting and it is so tragic that she's not here anymore. She lived with her boyfriend, she was doing well in her job and planning Christmas and going to Gran Canaria on holiday in January and now she's gone.

"When she was born it was touch and go that she would survive and 50/50 but she was a fighter.
