Hola Eri ¿cómo te va? Yo bien, gracias sean dadas a los dioses, pero un poco melancólico. Fíjate qué fecha es hoy, la tarde de san Silvestre. Para los alemanes es el Silvestre Abend. Agarran unas cogorzas que tú no veas, pero lo mismo pasa aquí con el rollo mamonero de las doce campanadas, las doce uvas, las saturnales. Ya sabes mi pasión por Roma, que quiere decir Amor, pero al revés, pues fui profesor de latín en Oxford y se me daba bien la lengua del Lacio, recuerda aquellas clases en la facul hace ya más de cuarenta años como a ti el árabe. Eras muy cuidadosa con los libros, muy elegante, decíamos una tía con clase, no una pija vulgaris de esas de Serrano aunque tú vivieras en la calle Velázquez. Ay aquellos tiempos que se fueron por los que siento añoranza. Fue el amor que se fue y no vino. Lo que pudo ser y no ser. La gente que tiene clase pues tiene clase y no todos esos tipos que aparecen en la tele como el josemi y otros bodigos por el estilo impartiéndonos cursos y reglas de urbanidad. Vivimos tiempos émulos de la vulgaridad circunspecta reinante y ovante. Me cunde con frecuencia la idea de vivir en medio de un redil de lobos que aúllan sin parar día y noche, de ser un autista. Hablo en castellano pero no me entienden. Se impuso otra lengua. El new talk de los totalitarismos utópicos profetizados en la novela 1984. Estos nuevos ricos son una peste, ya te digo. Tú lo llevabas en la sangre, la alcurnia se nota y hasta para tomar un papel entre los dedos eras elegante. Pero ya se me está yendo el santo al cielo, canastos. Soy Ulises en el laberinto. Me fui a Salamir porque no tenía adonde ir y ahora no sé cómo salir. A lo que iba el árabe pues tú sabes que el cardenal tu antepasado lo hablaba. Cierto que en un auto de fe en Granada quemó no sé cuantos alcoranes pero no eran más que libros de devoción. Salvó de aquella almenara todos los libros importantes que habían escrito los moros sobre álgebra, trigonometría, hierbas, ciencias naturales y se los trajo para Alcalá y a él se lo debemos los investigadores que tengamos un cierto conocimiento de la España que tabularon o escribieron los árabes en sus historiadores. No te voy a hablar de cronicones ni ponerte la cabeza tarumba con citas. Además de ese tema estás tú mucho más puesta que aqueste pagano. ¿Cómo va la tesis? Te diré que he renunciado al cristianismo pues me parece que fue esa religión un invento para acabar con el imperio romano. No te escandalices. Sé lo que me digo, no te creas. Y ha sido la voluntad de los dioses por mi Fatum el que haya venido a residir en el último tranco de mi existencia (que confío que por la largueza de la diosa Hera que cuida de mi salud y con los alifafes y alguna hierba que me proporciones Esculapio una larga existencia lo más larga posible) en este antiguo campamento romano que llamaron Compluvia. Aquí estuvieron todas las legiones y era el punto de recalada desde donde se iniciaban todas las campañas en la Hispania Citerior y Ulterior. Un poco fuerte ¿no crees? Suplicote me perdones si ves en ello alguna intención aviesa pero no es así. Sólo me impulsa el placer de narrar y reírme un poco del destino que me privó de haber gozado de gustos tan estupendos en tu compañía la mujer que amaba por entonces, la estudiante de Filología Árabe, la marquesa de no sé cuantos títulos, y grande de España. Creo que sigues teniendo más clase que la duquesa de Alba que a mi me parece una guarra con el belfo fruncido, pero siempre con ganas de picadero pues en sus días jóvenes montó mucho a caballo. A Sanlucar a ver al duque ya sabes y al pobre duque su marido le crecía toda una arboleda encima de la testuz. Pero bueno ya me estoy desparramando por donde no debo. Gracias al cardenal, estos tienen lo que tienen y son lo poco o lo mucho que son. Algunos le comparan con el Richelieu hispano pero su idea de España iba más allá. Quería crear un imperio mesiánico. Roma le venía estrecha a don Gonzalo y fue materia de escándalo para aquellos cardenales con sus barraganas, el voto de Santiago, una limosna y sales del purgatorio. El dinero es el mejor salvoconducto, compra voluntades, derriba todas las murallas y es un pecado contra la vieja ley el derrocharlo por las buenas y te participo Erica, amor, que al morir le dejó un buen montón de ducados a su fiel escudero el citado fray Narciso quien se fue con su amo al cielo al poco de fallecer. Aquella amistad que rondaba el amor entre dos frailes es un enigma y parece una incógnita. No testó, pero hizo una manda de que se le dijeran misas en una iglesia que yo conozco de este pueblo que es el tuyo y el de don Manuel Hazaña. Por lo visto en los saqueos de la guerra civil alguien encontró un cofre tras una puerta excusada de aquel convento y arrampló con todo ese dinerazo. Yo no soy un detective, soy solo un investigador jubilado lo mismo que tú eres una profesora de árabe, hija de condes,  mujer de buenas partes- hay que ver lo buena que estabas- y que en todo demostraste tu buena crianza. Yo te invito un poco a resolver  conmigo este galimatías de descubrir el tesoro de Cisneros en esta España por él constituida y remozada en su unidad que hoy se está yendo al garete. Aunque ni tú ni yo, querida, seamos Sherlock Holmes, hay que recuperar el alijo de doblones, cierto, pero sobre todo el legado emocional, cultural, espiritual, de tu antepasado, habibi, salam  malikum. Que Alá sea contigo o Cristo o la   Virgen Maria si es que crees en algo, como yo creo en ti y te  tuve y te tengo  cierto amor, un amor que se fue como vino: en volandas.

Me voy a comer al Geston. Es un bar donde yo acostumbro a parar y me quieren mucho. A la tarde si es que el valdepeñas no es óbice, proseguiré esta misiva la primera en el último día del año, Erica. Pero año nuevo vida nueva.

Hola, Erica, dirás que soy un gandul. Comencé este escritorio con mucho impulso, como tantas y tantas cosas, pero se me acabó el gas de antuvión, lo cual me sucede con harta frecuencia. El corazón es joven, yo me miro al espejo y encuentro un español de ojos cansados y barba encanecida. El espejo me devuelve una imagen que no me parece la mía sino la de mi abuelo al que me parezco bastante pues saltan los genes donde uno menos se espera: al igual que el abuelo soy ancho de caderas y buenos cuadriles el pecho un poco hundido, se me cayeron los hombros con el desarrollo y de joven –tú bien lo notaste- criaba barriguita, una barriguita que se ha convertido en panza. De joven creo que tenía complejos sobre mi tipo y se convirtió en una obsesión, pero me parecía un poco a Anthony Perkins. Una temporada de ayuno en Londres y de calistenia yendo al gimnasio, nadando y estirando los hierros mitigaron un poco aquel defecto físico. Hoy ya no siento preocupación alguna por mi carcasa y tal vez me haya abandonado porque, no pudiendo ser un atleta apolíneo, quise ser un deportista del espíritu. ¡Menuda caballada, aunque me parece que no queda del todo mal la frase! Las cosas interiores no me preocuparon en la misma medida que aquellas que afectaban a la psiqué pues oí decir a uno de aquellos muchos directores espirituales o staretzi que arruinaron un poco mi vida que no somos más que polvo. Es justo lo contrario de lo que piensa el común de las gentes de hoy. Descuidé la dieta y, atenazado por la bulimia, trataba de satisfacer mis frustraciones espirituales con continuos viajes a la nevera. Me puse como un globo. Para realizar la obra literaria que me proponía llevar adelante me atiborré de café y creo que las volutas del humo de mi pipa incentivaron mi imaginación o, al menos, eso pensaba yo. Marré el golpe y acaso sea uno de los motivos de mis muchos fracasos. He ido de desastre en desastre por la vida, navegando por mares adversos. El viento huracanado zarandeaba de proa pero como yo soy petizo y marino avezado a las borrascas aferraba obenques y largaba velas. Me sublevé contra el Alzamiento Cibernético-ya te hablaré de esta novela en otra ocasión- y los internautas te han ganado la partida y tú jodio tonto le has bailado el agua, estuviste como un idiota trabajando gratis et amore para el gluglú. Menos mal que has adoptado la decisión de que ellos no tienen que gozar de tu arte sin pagar derechos de autor, de modo que de ahora en adelante Cartas a Erica. Hoy te he llamado por teléfono y escuché tu risa franca y castellana. ¿no te estarías riendo de mí? Una cosa: que me preocupas es que tienes tanta energía que se quema la mano. Hostias, Squirrel, a ver si vas a tener poder. Sea como fuere, siento una gran alegría y quietud interior al renovar esta correspondencia. Lo dejamos en la noche de san Silvestre, un fin de año como los demás, pegado a la radio, escuchando melancolías. Reflexionando sobre la luz y el tiempo que se va. Me fui a yantar al Gestón y allí me dieron las uvas. Curé las muchas tristezas con orujo brujo, el agua que quema mi espíritu. Los gitanos lo llaman peñascazo.

 

MEDITACIÓN EN LA TARDE DE SAN SILVESTRE. UN ANGEL ME HA DICHO: ORA, LLORA, ESPERA Y CALLA

Laconismo impenetrable el del evangelista que refleja en estos sucintos párrafos las zozobras que debieron albergarse en el corazón de un descendiente de David, el padre putativo de Jesús y fiel esposo de la Virgen Madre.
No hay asunto que desequilibre más a un judío que las sospechas sobre su mujer. Tuvo la suerte San José, a diferencia de otros pobrecitos y atribulados maridos (¿me habrá puesto los tochos?) de que el arcángel Gabriel viniera en su auxilio a redimirle de sus celos, muy justificados por otra parte.

Entre mamíferos y vivíparos se hace caso omiso de todo cuanto hay de espiritual en la religión del Amor; por eso la Iglesia clama contra el materialismo ateo o el feminismo radical, la homosexualidad que sin condenarla no condona, o el aborto, la destrucción de la familia, la cosificación de la mujer como receptáculo de placer (y de dolores) y no como transmisora de vida.

Rouco, mientras se rodea de gente guapa y de dinero, esgrime con razón esta doctrina sacrosanta del dogma católico, pero comete un error, al mezclar las leyes divinas con las humanas y monta el cirio con sus happenings en la plaza de Colón politizando el aborto trayendo a tales reuniones a gente maja y de derechas.

Es banalizar una cuestión tan tremenda para las que lo sufren como es la interrupción del embarazo. En este sentido el approach de la iglesia ortodoxa rusa, que llora, reza y calla, me parece mucho más adecuado con las enseñanzas evangélicas.
En parte la iglesia católica postconciliar es la responsable de esta debacle que ha traído angustia y pavor al corazón de las gentes. La iglesia nuestra tiene que entonar su mea culpa, sollozar por sus muchos pecados de años atrás

 

Porque comulgó con ruedas de molino, hizo dejación de sus poderes de autoridad y sufre el acoso y derribo de un desprestigio general que se encarna en la figura del cardenal de Madrid. Habría que jubilarlo. Queremos un obispo más valiente y menos condescendiente con el poder, pero aquí y ahora está manipulado hasta el propio Benedicto XVI. Deje a sus kikos, a sus movidas, y vuelva al redil de la iglesia y a la vieja doctrina y a la pura fe, llore, rece, espere y calle.

Gänswein vuelve de Alemania para acompañar y cuidar a Benedicto XVI

Georg Gänswein, secretario personal de Benedicto XVI, se encontraba estos días en Alemania pasando las Navidades. Desde el empeoramiento de salud del Papa emérito, el arzobispo alemán volvió rápidamente a Roma para atender a Ratzinger.

En estos momentos de especial gravedad e incertidumbre, Benedicto XVI está siendo controlado por un equipo de médicos y cuidado por su secretario personal y cuatro ‘memores domini’ —integrantes de la organización laica Comunión y Liberación—, que son los que han conformado el círculo cercano del Papa emérito durante los últimos años.

Tal y como ha informado Specola en su edición de hoy, «todo apunta a que el Papa Benedicto está inconsciente y durará lo que la naturaleza aguante, la permanente ambulancia a las puertas del Mater Ecclesiae indica que se han descartado otras posibilidades y que entregará su alma a Dios en su casa. Luces encendidas toda la noche nos indican que estamos a la espera, encomendamos su alma, es lo más podemos hacer estos momentos».

Además, tal y como adelantó ayer InfoVaticana, Specola confirma que «hay testamento y, dado el autor, no será indiferente. Su secretario lo custodia como un perro sabueso y es ahora el secreto mejor guardado. Será largo, será corto, hablará de la situación actual de la Iglesia…. ; en todo caso, será de Benedicto y , sin duda, será espléndido. Suponemos que Dom Geor tiene precisas instrucciones de cuándo y cómo hacerlo público, que cumplirá con precisión, no debe favores y no admitirá chantajes».

Así mismo, Specola asegura que «en torno a Santa Marta las cosas se mueven. El principal impedimento para la dimisión o renuncia del Papa Francisco es que Benedicto sigue entre nosotros. Esto puede cambiar y  Francisco sabe que carga con un proceso degenerativo que solo se está sosteniendo con una sobrecarga médica que muy lejos no puede llegar. Ayer se vio a Ghrilanda por Santa Marta y todo apunta a que se trataría de ir preparando el próximo cónclave cuanto antes. El calendario previsto sería un próximo consistorio con el nombramiento un buen número de cardenales, se dice que hasta los 144. Hay un verdadero revuelo, ya nadie se calla, y se habla de un ‘golpe de estado’. Al consistorio seguiría la renuncia y la convocatoria del cónclave, nos quedan meses para saber si esto es cierto, o cuanto tiene de cierto, el rumor está y no precisamente entre los porteros».

«En el pequeño estado todo se está movilizando, los chicos de la ‘florería’ van desempolvando y preparando todo lo necesario para adecuar la Basílica de San Pedro. La tipográfica empieza con horas extras y nos dicen que hasta el último detalle está ya en marcha, la ceremonia será en la plaza y se espera una masa de gente, nada indiferente, a la que no le importa nada si llueve o hace frio, cosas de la fe. MOSCOW, December 29. /TASS/. The launch of Russia’s special military operation and the accession of the four new regions to the country ended 30 years of attempts by Moscow to build an equal partnership with the West, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Thursday.

Summing up the country’s foreign policy course in 2022, the ministry said the recognition of the sovereignty of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) and the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR), the start of the special military operation, the holding of referendums in the two Donbass republics and in the liberated areas of the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions followed by their accession to the Russian Federation were "tough but necessary steps." "At the same time, they ended a 30-year period of honest attempts by Russia to build an equal partnership with the collective West," the Russian diplomats said.

Moscow’s resolute actions helped expose "the true intentions and attitude of Western countries" toward Russia. "By resorting to openly Russophobic rhetoric and acknowledging in public that the Minsk `set of measures’ was just a way to buy time for the Kiev regime and pump it full of NATO weapons, Western leaders declared their intention to deal a `strategic blow’ to our country and remove it from the global arena as a geopolitical entity," Russia’s Foreign Ministry concluded.
