ARMED POLICE IN BEVERLEY ROAD

Armed police have taped off an area of Beverley Road as huge crowds gather.

Witnesses say that some sort of “siege” is currently ongoing in Beverley Road this Saturday evening (December 5) with a heavy police presence in the area.

One passerby says that there are multiple armed police in the area focusing on some modern flats in Beverley Road. Yorkshire Ambulance Service are also at the scene.

One witness said: “Beverley Road is closed and all taped of. There are several armed police vehicles, three vans and three police cars and ambulances here as well. More police are arriving.

“Whatever it is it looks like a siege of some description. Armed police are focusing on some modern flats on the road.

“There is four armed police vehicles here. Huge crowds are here. I witnessed one female in cuffs.”

Humberside Police have been approached for a comment.
