Police raided a "sophisticated" commercial cannabis factory where 102 plants were being secretly grown and watered inside a seemingly ordinary house.
The lucrative potential yield from selling the likely huge cannabis haul on the streets could have been up to £67,200. A "penniless" homeless man was looking after the plants in return for having a roof over his head, Hull Crown Court heard.

Milosz Milner, 40, recently of Logan Close, Bransholme, Hull, admitted an offence of producing 6.72kg of cannabis on February 8, 2023. Blaise Morris, prosecuting, said that police went to a house in Ash Grove, off Beverley Road, Hull, and carried out a search. They found a total of 102 cannabis plants in two rooms as well as heating, ventilation, LED lights and transformers. The electricity had been bypassed.

The estimated total potential yield of the cannabis plants was between £33,500 and £67,200. A long-handled flick knife was found next to Milner in the living room.
During police interview, Milner made no comment to all questions. "The defendant must have had some awareness and understanding of the scale of the operation, given that he pointed officers towards the cannabis and he was the only individual located in the property when the police arrived," said Mr Morris.
"There would have been a significant financial advantage. The operation was capable of producing significant quantities of cannabis for commercial use."
